Seconds – Fold hoops in golden bronze

Description

My landscape has flattened as my silver shapes have curled, curved, folded. It feels like time to flex, reach out our arms, bend back to take in the sky, bend forwards to touch the earth. An expanding, an enfolding, an embrace.

Curved and textured petals of golden bronze, clustered into beautiful sculptural hoops. These are seconds as they have a couple of small darker patches from the casting process. They will not be noticeable when you’re wearing them.

Made from recycled bronze with sterling silver ear posts and secure push on stopper backs.

After casting in nearby Melton Mowbray, they’re hand-finished by me in my Suffolk studio, using natural alternatives to traditional jewellery-making chemicals.

The hoops are 4x4cm and weigh approximately 9g each.
